Wander Weekends – Terms & Conditions

By accessing or using our site, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, cease use immediately.

1. Validity

All bookings with Wander Weekends are made in accordance with these Terms.

2. Role of Wander Weekends

Wander Weekends is a travel agency. We coordinate with third-party providers (e.g. airlines, hotels, transfer companies, tour operators) but are not the direct provider of your travel services. Each provider has their own terms and conditions, which also apply to your trip.

3. Order Acceptance

  • Booking a Wander Weekend constitutes a contract between you (and all travellers in your party) and Wander Weekends.

  • Your booking is considered an offer to purchase a trip. We may accept or decline your order at our sole discretion, even after an order confirmation email is issued.

4. Pricing

  • All prices are quoted in NZD and include GST where applicable.

  • Package prices include all items outlined in the selected itinerary.

  • Exclusions: meals not specified, drinks, laundry, optional activities, and personal expenses.

5. Itinerary Changes

We reserve the right to alter or cancel accommodation, meals, transport, or activities at any time due to road, weather, supplier performance, strikes, or other unforeseen operational circumstances.

6. Cancellations, Refunds & Dissatisfaction

  • By booking, you authorise Wander Weekends to manage all trip components (flights, accommodation, activities, etc.).

  • No refunds are provided if you are unhappy with your experience.

  • No refunds are given once travel has commenced or for unused services.

Rescheduling:

  • Must notify us at least 10 days prior to departure.

  • A $250 service fee per person (plus provider fees) applies.

  • Rescheduling is not guaranteed and is subject to provider policies.

Cancellations:

  • Must be made in writing with at least 10 days’ notice.

  • Partial refunds may be considered case by case.

  • Refunds are subject to provider terms, and we cannot guarantee them.

  • A $250 service fee per person applies if a refund is issued.

COVID-19:

  • Travel may expose you to COVID-19 risks.

  • You accept full responsibility for understanding relevant travel restrictions and assume all COVID-related risks.

  • Wander Weekends is not liable for exposure, illness, or related consequences.

  • A $250 per person fee applies if rescheduling is needed due to COVID-19.

7. Full Payment

Full payment is due at time of booking via credit card. Once paid, bookings are non-changeable.

8. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend travel and health insurance. Insurance can be arranged upon request.

9. Baggage

Packages with flights include one carry-on (max 7kg) per person. Additional checked bags must be requested in advance and will incur an extra charge.

10. Aftersales Service

  • Wander Weekends is not liable for missed flights or activities due to late arrival.

  • You are expected to follow the provided itinerary. Contact us prior to departure with any concerns.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or cancellations caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, wars, strikes, or governmental actions.

12. Privacy Notice

We collect personal data, including health information if needed, to provide services. This data may be shared with travel providers. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

13. Company Liability

Wander Weekends is not liable for:

  • Death, injury, illness, accident, or loss

  • Actions or omissions of third-party providers

  • Loss or damage of baggage or personal effects

14. Rental Car

  • Rental cars may be included for destinations without nearby airports.

  • You must hold a valid NZ driver’s license and be over 18.

  • Full insurance is included, but you’re liable for any excess.

  • A credit card may be required on pick-up.

  • Cars must be returned with a full tank or you’ll be charged.

15. Self-Drive (Local Wanderer Package)

If using your own car, you’re responsible for ensuring WOF, registration, driver’s license, and insurance are up to date. Fuel costs are at your own expense.

16. Damages

You are financially responsible for any damage caused during your accommodation stay. Wander Weekends will pass on associated charges.

17. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer or copy our content

  • Violate laws or infringe on rights

  • Post or share offensive, illegal, or defamatory content

  • Misrepresent your identity or attempt to access systems illegally

  • Engage in spam, phishing, or fraudulent activity

  • Compete with our business using our platform

  • Violate intellectual property rights

We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of services.
